Hawaii Day #6- Photo Tour

We decided to go on Kauai Photo Tours as a 'super activity' while we were in Hawaii. They talked about what great photos you could get, and it definitely sucked me in. The unfortunate thing for me was that they only had room on the hiking tour. I don't particularly like hiking that much, but Brigham wanted to go, so we went on that tour. With the way it worked out, we only made it to 4 out of 10 places. Disappointing for sure. I think we mainly went to places where our tour guide could go to jump in the water because it was a hot day. I wasn't happy about that either. But the places we went were beautiful, and you will have to let me know what you think about the photos. There are a lot, but believe me this is only a fraction!

The first place we went was a pretty beach, but it was overcast at first. It was called Anahola Beach. Then it started to clear:

The second place we went was Papa'a Bay. It was a public beach, as all beaches in Hawaii are. But it was difficult to get to. There was a 30 million dollar mansion on the beach, that pretty much had control of access to the beach unless you wanted to swim to it.

While this looks fake, it is not. We really were standing there. Weird huh?

The next place took the longest. It was a 30 minute hike in each direction, and then we spent about 45 minutes there. It was Kilauea Falls. We also saw the guy from Heroes that can fly, Nathan Petrelli. Our first encounter with a famous person in Kauai. Not the last... It was a fun place though. We got to swim under the waterfalls.

After the falls, we were starving. So we stopped and got lunch. That took a long time as well, so we only made it to one more place afterward. Lunch was at this local place that only opens from noon-3pm. We got there about 2:30 and they were running out of stuff already. It was funny.
The last place we went was Lumahai beach. Lots of Lava Rock.

And lastly we have our new budding photographer getting a good shot:

After the photo tour, we went to Smith's Luau. It was entertaining and fun. This is one of the only shots I got because it was so dark. I love the costumes though.
