Monkeys and Iguana's

The next day we went to Roatan Honduras. It is a beautiful island with several different cultures living there. We had planned a tour that was supposed to take us to an iguana farm, and a monkey sanctuary. We didn't realize when we booked it that we would have our own personal tour guide! She was extremely helpful, and gave us a tour of the entire island. Well beyond what we expected. She let us take as much time as we wanted, and basically took us wherever we wanted to go. The iguana farm was interesting. They are wild iguanas that have figured out that they can get food and stay safe at this families house.  They come and go as they please, but there seem to always be plenty there! Reminded me of the lizard that I used to have- Spike!

The next stop was the whole reason we booked this tour. We got to play with and hold baby monkey's! Amazing and fun and everything I had hoped it would be! There may have been quite a few squeals by me during the time we were there. They were so adorable!

We had fun playing with them. The camera we brought had this orange flotation thing attached to it and the monkeys went crazy going after it. They wanted to eat it of course:

They also liked Brigham's hat. It has a Velcro back to it, and one of the monkey's took a long time trying to get it open, when it finally did, it totally lost interest! Typical baby I suppose....
